my health, my thyroid?
for all these years, i have been wondering why it is hard for me to gain some weight..i am just 4 foot 10.7 inch (4' 10.7" @ 149cm) height with 39kg weight only! gosh that's underweight~.. i thought that i might gain some weight as i grow older..not! in contrast, i am getting skinnier & lose weight unexpectedly eventhough i do eat a lot..sigh~..i've tried everything, from drinking the weight gain to suppliments..even to eat more rice, fish & meat sometimes 4 times a day! haiya, i don't know what to do anymore.. i was about to drive myself crazy when one of my friend suggest me to seek a physician @ medical doctor, do a blood test, to find out if i have Thyroid problems called Hyperthyriod.
curious to know about this symptom, i search it through the internet &.. wah la~..i read all the information & gosh, i guess i do have this thyroid problems because ONE OF THE SYMPTOMS is WEIGHT LOSS..what is Thyroid? the thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland in the front of the neck..it produces hormones that control the speed of your metabolism..thyroid disorders can slow down or rev up your metabolism by disrupting the production of thyroid hormones..
therefore, weight gain may signal low levels of thyroid hormones, a condition called hypothyroidism..in contrast, if the thyroid produces more hormones than the body needs, you may lose weight unexpectedly & this is known as hyperthyroidism..wuuu so sad..if you would like to know more about Thyroid & its symptoms, please go to this link --> http://www.emedicinehealth.com/slideshow_thyroid_symptoms_and_solutions/article_em.htm
right now, i am struggling to maintain my weight to prevent constant weight loss..pity me :(
